Patricia focuses on helping company owners select the right professionals for their team and provides practical HR consulting services.  She is regularly asked to speak at community workshops and contributes to industry magazines on related topics.

The Consulate-operated Canadian Technology Accelerator will provide Canadian companies the opportunity to work rent-free for three months in a fully serviced development space at either RocketSpace in San Francisco or the Plug and Play Tech Center (PnP) in Sunnyvale, CA - located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Successful companies will work alongside over 250 tech startups from over 20 countries.

Startup Canada Beta Site is Live

The Startup Canada beta site is live at www.startupcan.ca,  a result of 9 months of hard work and 250 passionate community entrepreneurial volunteers connected through online and virtual channels across the country.

Startup Canada’s goal between now and December 2012 is to fuel a groundswell, grassroots, entrepreneur-led movement to bring together Canada’s entire entrepreneurship community to create a shared vision for the future, and an action plan for change. The beta site is the 1st step on our path to success.

 

Where do you come in?

Startup Canada is looking at the entrepreneurship community to interact and voice their views on how we can come together to better support Canadian entrepreneurs.

The Speakers CornerideasWiKi, and Idea Loop features of the site, along with active and growing communities on TwitterFacebook and LinkedIn, will provide Canadian entrepreneurs with a platform to contribute innovative ideas on how to ‘Start Up Canada’ that will feed into the action plan moving forward.  Other site highlights include a DailyWiREWeekly Update, and NewsRoom that will keep the community constantly informed and engaged.

The Startup Canada Blog is also fueled by 14 of Canada’s most influential bloggers on entrepreneurship and the site itself will provide the community with the support, tools and resources it needs to fuel the movement, celebrate entrepreneurship and get involved.  The 2012 National Tour Program, which also be launched, providing live support across Canadian cities.
